But like female musicians everywhere, she was constantly confronted with a male-dominated, often sexist industry. In this documentary, she probes Argentina's music scene with her camera and many pertinent questions. Why are there so few female superstars who write their own music? Why is it almost obligatory to look a certain way? Has the position of female musicians improved in recent decades? She films them behind the scenes and in full glory on stage and listens to their experiences. As diverse as these women are, their stories of the sexism, inequality and aggression they face are equally painful — whether they have dreadlocks, twerk in a G-string or pose in hipster attire. The evening is concluded with a performance by the all-girl band The Klittens. Every night a different music genre, explored in a unique setting with live extras.

And I wish we had seen more of them in terms of solos and overtures. I have no problem with them Going to Chicago was the highlight of my trip to New York. I went for the purposes of business but I paid an obscene amount of money to see a show that was so minimalist it didn't merit being called a broadway production. The chorus performers were excellent but the two leads were weak. The actress playing Velma was 57 years old. Now, she looked and danced amazingly for a woman her age but the part is meant to be a young woman. Her dancing, singing and acting we're not up to broadway standards.
In the first part of the concert, Moore offers a masterful performance of works by Philip Glass followed by a very emotive musical trip: the music of De La Chica's Preludes , accompanied by the composer on the synth. I will also add that I was not initially receptive to what I heard. Her commitment to new works and to living composers is legendary, and this album is yet another recorded testament to her exceptional artistry and enterprise. De La Chica organically oscillates between post-minimal and ambient music. With the constant evolution of music, each epoch engenders new bodies of both performers and audience.
